Recipes : Age 6-8 : Class 78 - 2 Shaped Breads

Ingredients

  • 3g sachet of dried yeast
  • 1 dessertspoon vegetable or sunflower oil
  • 210ml warm water
  • 350g strong white flour
  • pinch of salt

Method

  1. Put the flour, yeast & salt in mixing bowl, add the oil & water mix together to form a firm dough.
  2. Put the dough on a floured surface, push your hand into the dough and keep gathering it into a ball turn and repeat for 5 minutes.
  3. Split the dough into 8 pieces, make into any animal shape.
  4. Put on a greased baking tray and put in a warm place till the shape has doubled in size
  5. Bake in oven 230ºC Gas Mark 8 for approx 15-20 minutes.
